Summary:The device has a fluid pump e.g. axial pump such as blood pump, comprising a delivery element (2) i.e. rotor, placed in magnet bearings e.g. thrust bearings, where the bearing comprises permanent magnets (10, 10a) and control coils (16, 16a). An excitation device performs an oscillation excitation of the delivery element against a counter-force applied by the bearings. Sensor devices (47, 49) measure an oscillation behavior of the delivery element. The sensor devices comprise two sensors measuring oscillation frequency and oscillation amplitude of the delivery element, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring fluid-mechanically effective material parameters of a liquid.
