Summary: | Sealing system for lead-acid batteries for heavy vehicles, having a cap which includes, on one hand, a system of labyrinths intended to avoid electrolyte leaks, providing a centralised outlet; and on the other, multiple plugs for the battery elements, which provides a single point of access to more than one cell at the same time to allow them to be filled simultaneously. These characteristics are combined in a cap that is even with the level of the cover and that is also substantially thermally insulated from the rest of the battery, which condenses emitted vapours, while at the same time reducing vapour emission, and facilitating the return of the condensed liquids to the interior of the element due to the special geometry of the piece, all of which results in a battery for heavy vehicles such as trucks, that can be considered to be maintenance-free. |
