The load cell is arranged in a shell (3). The load cell comprises a weighing position and a cleaning position. The load cell is rotatable around a pivot axis in the cleaning position. The shell encloses a space (32), which is limited by a flat bottom portion (3a) and three side walls (31a,31b,31c). An independent claim is also included for a load plate for a scale. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Waage (1), insbesondere eine Ladenwaage, die einerseits optisch ansprechend gestaltet und andererseits gut zu reinigen ist. Dazu weist die Waage (1) eine in einer Schale (3) aufgenommene Wägezelle (2) auf, die mit einer abnehmbaren Lastplatte (4) versehen ist und in eine Reinigungsposition verbracht und dort verschwenkt werden kann.
