Summary: | A process is described for enhancing the fuel properties of hydrotreated, and possibly dearomatized, hydrocarbon mixtures, which comprises putting said mixtures in contact, in the presence of hydrogen, with a new catalytic system comprising:
(1) a zone (I) containing a metallic component T1 selected from Pt, Pd and mixtures thereof, and a carrier S1 selected from:
(a) dealuminated large-pore zeolites,
(b) large-pore zeolites having a crystalline lattice based on silica and alumina, exchanged with one or more metals Me selected from alkaline metals, alkaline-earth metals, lanthanoids or mixtures thereof, and containing x moles of hydrogen ions per mole of aluminium wherein x varies from 0.04 to 0.4,
(c) amorphous silico-aluminas, possibly containing phosphorous;
(2) a zone (II) containing a metallic component T2 selected from Ir, a mixture of Ir and Pt and a mixture of Ir and Rh, and containing a carrier S2 selected from dealuminated large-pore zeolites, amorphous silico-aluminas, borated alumina, silica, ceria, titania, zirconia. |
