Summary:A composite woven fabric (100, 200, 300, 420) for a low profile implantable medical device (400) having a plurality of textile strands of a first material (110, 210, 310, 420) aligned in a first direction interlaced with a plurality of textile strands of a second material (120, 220, 320, 422). The textile strands have a size between about 10 denier to about 20 denier. The first material (110, 210, 310, 420) has at least one characteristic different from the second material (120, 220, 320, 422) and reacts more favorably with blood when placed within an artery.
