Summary:Apparatuses and methods of location determination during network address lookup are disclosed. In one embodiment, a mobile device comprises a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver is configured to transmit, to a wireless router having a wireless router network address, a request for a mobile device network address to be associated with the mobile device, receive one or more signals representative of an assignment of the mobile device network address to the mobile device, where the assignment of the mobile device network address includes an association of the mobile device network address with the physical location of the wireless router. The processor is configured to determine the physical location included in the assignment of the mobile device network address. The transceiver can then transmit the physical location to emergency services upon making a subsequent emergency call.
