Summary:The invention relates to a device (1) for providing flat workpieces or webs with glue, comprising a nozzle plate (10) past which the workpiece (2) or the web can be fed in a transport direction (x), and comprising a plurality of glue outlet openings (23), wherein a plurality of glue valves (19) are disposed on or in the nozzle plate (10), by means of which a glue flow between a glue reservoir and/or glue feed lines (20) and glue outlet openings (23) can be produced and interrupted, so that the glue can be applied to the surface of the workpiece (2) to be glued, or can be applied to the web in a desired format. The nozzle plate (19) comprises an undercut region (14) on the rear end thereof, as seen in the transport direction (x) of the workpieces (2) or web.
