Summary:An inkjet recording apparatus (10) includes: an image forming means (24) including nozzle rows (61) which are provided to correspond to inks that are curable by irradiation of an active light beam and have different curing characteristics respectively, and which have nozzles arranged for ejecting the inks; a relative movement means (28, 30, 40) which causes relative movement between the nozzle rows (61) and a recording medium (12) on which the inks ejected from the nozzles are deposited; an ejection control means (112) which controls ink ejection from the image forming means (24) with respect to each of divided units obtained by dividing the nozzle rows (61) into a plurality of units, so as to form layers (80, 82, 84) on the recording medium (12) by the inks ejected from the respective divided units in such a manner that the layers (80, 82, 84) that are formed by the inks ejected from the different divided units are superimposed on each other; an active light beam irradiation means (32A, 32B, 34A, 34B) which irradiates the active light beam onto the inks that have been ejected onto the recording medium (12); and an irradiation light amount variation means (102, 108) which is capable of varying an amount of irradiation light from the active light beam irradiation means (32A, 32B, 34A, 34B), in accordance with the curing characteristics of the inks in the respective layers (80, 82, 84) on the recording medium (12).
