Summary:A fork assembly is disclosed, comprising an external tube (1) and an internal tube (2). A free piston (5) is arranged inside a cylindrical portion (30) joined with the external tube, in such a way to define an oil chamber (C4) and an air chamber (C5) wherein a compensating spring (6) is inserted.
