Summary:In an optical touch panel (20) using optical waveguides, a pigment mixture consists of at least 2 kinds of pigments is contained in a clad (14). The pigment mixture has stronger absorption of light in a visible range than in a near-infrared range. Signal beams in the near-infrared range are hardly absorbed, although ambient light having entered the clad (14) in the visible range is strongly absorbed. This makes it possible to significantly reduce ambient light in the visible range to enter cores (12) after passing through the clad (14) and it is possible to use the optical touch panel (20) outdoors, either.
