Summary:The system has a driver's seat (4) connected to an infrastructure of a straddle carrier facing transverse to a traveling direction. A seat shell (1) is connected to the seat and deformed by forces that occur if the straddle carrier tips over. The seat shell is displaced and braked with respect to a driver's cabin in a direction of forces. A belt roller (7) is attached to the seat shell. A spring, a rubber band and a cable are placed between the seat and the seat shell. The seat shell is placed on a carriage on a rail system. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrerrückhaltesystem für Portalstapler mit quer zu seiner Fahrtrichtung fest in seinem Unterbau angeordneten Fahrersitz (4), der mit einer Sitzschale (1) verbunden ist, die durch bei einem durch Umfallen entstehenden Aufprall auftretende Kräfte verformbar ist und die gegenüber der Fahrerkabine in Richtung auftretender Kräfte in ihrer Position verschieb- und abbremsbar ist, wobei eine Gurtrolle (7) in der Sitzschale (10) angeschlagen ist.
