Summary:The invention relates to a device for automatic placing of front halves (58) of slaughtered animals on the carriers with holding supports (16). The device comprises a conveyor (100) for moving the front halves (58) with the abdominal cavity opening, directed essentially at right angles to the direction of movement (101) of the conveyor (100). The conveyor (100) is adapted to interact with an overhead conveyor (2) with the carriers, the direction of movement (12) of which is essentially at right angles to the direction of movement (101) of the conveyor (100), while the holding supports (16) of the carriers go into the abdominal cavity opening of the front halves (58).
