Summary:The invention relates to a method for producing a high-temperature protective layer containing metal on a metal high-temperature material (5). According to said method, the metal is deposited on the high-temperature material via a gaseous phase to form the high-temperature protective layer, the high-temperature material being held at a diffusion temperature for a specific length of time, allowing at least part of the deposited metal to diffuse into the high-temperature material and form a diffusion zone. The high-temperature material is not in contact with solids or liquids in the region of the surface to be coated, but merely forms a solid/gas interface. The invention also relates to a component consisting of a high-temperature material with a hot-gas anti-corrosive layer containing chrome, said component having an overlay layer (20) containing chrome on the surface of said high-temperature material, a diffusion layer (22) in the high-temperature material and a build-up zone (21) between the overlay layer and the diffusion layer, the chrome content of said zone being between that of the diffusion layer and the overlay layer.
