Summary:The plug (1) has a switch (S1) connected with a power supply line e.g. external conductor (L1), on a side and with an auxiliary line (A) on another side, where the auxiliary line is guided from the plug. The switch is opened if the plug is inserted into a plug socket, where the switch exhibits a movable projection (6). The switch is closed if the plug is partially removed from the plug socket. Another auxiliary line (B) is directly connected to another power supply line e.g. neutral conductor (N), which is not connected with the switch. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a household appliance comprising a power supply plug (2) a method for alternatively connecting and disconnecting an electrical component in a household appliance by a switch.
