Summary:An impact detector (100) includes a weight (520; 530) having a circular periphery, a case (200,400) in which the weight is contained, an interior of which defines a transition path (232; 233) that connects an initial position and an impact detection position, and a restriction means (224; 225; 226; 540; 550) projecting from the interior of the case (200,400) into the transition path (232; 233). The weight (520; 530) moves through the transition path (232; 233) to the impact detection position with a circumferential surface of the weight (520; 530) in contact with the interior of the case (200,400) when the case (200,400) receives an impact in a predetermined direction, and the restriction means (224; 225; 226; 540; 550) restricts movement of the weight (520; 530) toward the impact detection position when the case (200,400) receives impact in a direction other than the predetermined direction.
