Summary:The machine i.e. loading car (1), has a holding device (3) for holding a harvested material i.e. crop. A collecting conveyor (10) is designed as a lifting and lowering pick-up device (4) with a spiked roller (12) that is driven to rotate for collecting the material from a floor. The conveyor (10) and a feeding conveyor (11) are controlled independent of each other by a control device (9) such that the ratio of a driving speed of the conveyor (10) to that of the conveyor (11) is varied by the control device (9) on the basis of the variations in operating and/or processing parameters.
