Summary:An exhaust gas control system and an exhaust gas control method are provided. The exhaust gas control system includes an exhaust gas throttle valve in an exhaust gas duct and an actuation device of the exhaust gas throttle valve having an actuating rod. An exhaust gas pressure control device controls the exhaust gas pressure occurring upstream of the exhaust gas throttle valve in the exhaust gas duct. The actuating rod also includes a control actuator that interacts with a pressure compensation volume. The pressure compensation volume is pneumatically connected to a throttle opening upstream of the exhaust gas throttle valve.
