A measuring device (15) comprises attachment units (16, 17) to measure electrical characteristics e.g. resistance. A memory reading device (53) comprises two attachment units (54, 55) to read data storage (49) i.e. one wire-electrically EPROM. A switching matrix (27) is provided for alternative connection of attachment units of the measuring device with the units of the reading device on one side and with contacts (31) of a connection component (33) on another side. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cable arrangement.
