Summary:The device has a fluid-mechanically acting resistance unit (12) including an outer housing (13) and a resistance wheel enclosed by the outer housing. The resistance wheel is designed such that a laminar stream is generated in the outer housing. The resistance wheel is formed as a flat disk and a radial pump wheel and peripheral pump wheel. The outer housing is opened and closed and formed with a flow-rate adjusting unit. An end of a riser pipe (14) is connected to the outer housing. A pressure sensor unit detects static pressure at an area in the housing. Bei einem Trainingsgerät ist eine fluidmechanisch wirkende Widerstandseinheit (12) vorhanden, die über ein äußeres Außengehäuse (13) und über ein von dem Außengehäuse (13) umschlossenes Widerstandsrad verfügt. Das Widerstandsrad (32) ist so ausgebildet, dass in dem Außengehäuse (13) eine im wesentlichen laminare Strömung erzeugt ist. Dadurch ergibt sich eine auch bei Drehzahländerungen direkte Kopplung der mechanischen Leistung mit der Drehzahl.
