Summary: | The machine has a machining tool (37) to machine a piece (45) under the effect of spark erosion. A detection device has an optical detection apparatus (51) i.e. charge coupled detector camera, that visualizes a set of marking features situated on a tool and tool attachment unit assembly (41) along a predetermined optical axis (52). The apparatus visualizes another set of marking features situated on a piece and machine part assembly (42) along the axis. The visualized features permit the evaluation of any relative geometrical drift between the assemblies and the correction of the drift. An independent claim is also included for a positioning method for a spark machining machine. |
