Method and device for detecting the operating condition of a combustion engine

The method involves measuring an open-circuit voltage of an electrical system and detecting a sudden voltage drop in another electrical system. A voltage increase above the level of the open-circuit voltage up to a stable level of an operating voltage is detected for detecting operation of an intern...

Summary:The method involves measuring an open-circuit voltage of an electrical system and detecting a sudden voltage drop in another electrical system. A voltage increase above the level of the open-circuit voltage up to a stable level of an operating voltage is detected for detecting operation of an internal combustion engine. An operating voltage is detected. A gradual voltage drop is detected over the period of more than a half second up to stable open-circuit voltages for detection of internal combustion engine provided in a resting condition. An independent claim is also included for an operating condition detecting device comprising a micro controller.
