Summary:A film, for use in a label and a related method, including a print skin layer, a base layer, and an adhesive skin layer having at least one heat-activated thermoplastic polymer. The film is stretched biaxially in both a machine direction and a transverse direction. The stretch ratio in a first direction is greater than 2:1 to 10:1, the stretch ratio in a second direction ranges in value from 1.02:1 to 1.8:1, the film has an ASTM D1204 shrinkage at 100°C of at least 0.5% in both the machine and transverse directions, and the film has an ASTM D882 2% secant modulus of at least 679,134 kPa (98,500 psi) in the first direction.
