Summary:The present invention provides a remote control unit of an air conditioning apparatus which has excellent operability and is easily handled by a user. In this remote control unit (10), a controller (20) stores screen display modes displayed on a display unit (11), wherein a first display mode is a standard screen (110), and a second display mode is a second standard screen (120). Upon receiving a single operation input from a confirmation button (15), the controller (20) causes items for selecting the display mode to be displayed on a menu (21). The number of items displayed on the second standard screen (120) of the second display mode is greater than the number of items displayed on the standard screen (110) of the first display mode. The second standard screen (120) has a specified area (120a) in which the displayed items can be varied.
