ROTOR OF A GAS TURBINE

The rotor (2) has an impeller-side section and a turbine-side section, where each section includes a set of rotor parts (6). The parts are held together by a tie rod (4) and are joined to a rotor device. Each part comprises an opening for the rod, where the opening extends in the axial direction of...

Summary:The rotor (2) has an impeller-side section and a turbine-side section, where each section includes a set of rotor parts (6). The parts are held together by a tie rod (4) and are joined to a rotor device. Each part comprises an opening for the rod, where the opening extends in the axial direction of rotor. Natural frequency of the rod is shifted toward higher frequencies in comparison to rotational speed of a gas turbine. A hollow shaft (11) and a support wheel (14) are combined to form a supporting rotor component, where the wheel supports the rod at one of the parts.
