Summary:An object of the present invention is to support smooth advancement of a capsule endoscope having reached inside of a desired internal organ such as large intestine. A display device (6) according to the present invention includes a display unit (12) that displays in-vivo images captured by a capsule endoscope (3) in a subject (1) on an image display unit (12a), and a control unit (15) that controls the display unit (12). The display unit (12) displays a position image indicating an intra-organ reached position of the capsule endoscope (3) on a position display unit (12b), and displays a posture image indicating a posture of the subject (1) on an examination-procedure display unit (12c). The control unit (15) acquires position information of the capsule endoscope (3), and calculates a position of the capsule endoscope (3) based on the acquired position information, to determine a posture to be taken by the subject 1 corresponding to the calculated position. The control unit (15) controls the examination-procedure display unit (12c) to display a posture image indicating the determined posture to be taken by the subject (1).
