Summary:The adjuster has a guide rail (1) i.e. profile rail, fastened perpendicular to a vehicle, and a moveable carriage (2) for diverting a vehicle safety belt. The profile rail is made of steel and with a rail base (3) fastened at a vehicle side and side pieces (4, 5) projecting from the rail base. The carriage is guided between the pieces from an upper end position at an upper end of the rail in an installation condition to a lower end position near to lower ends of the rail. The pieces are connected with each other in an area between the lower end position and the lower ends in a form-fit manner.
