Summary:The dental ultrasonic device has a tool holder (5) and an ultrasonic drive (2) with two piezoelement disks (2.1,2.2). The ultrasonic drive has a central axis (Z) and a tool holding fixture (3.1) is provided for a tool tip (3). The tool holding fixture is actuated by the ultrasonic drive and has a resonant frequency for an oscillation direction (X) right angled to the central axis in an oscillation plane (S). The latter piezoelement disk is so arranged that a border level lies with respect to the circumferential direction in the central axis rotated from another border level. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a dental ultrasonic device.
