Summary:A shaving unit for a dry shaver includes at least one outer cutter and one under cutter. Driven by a motor, the outer cutter and the under cutter are movable relative to each other in an oscillatory motion. The under cutter and the outer cutter, which are biased into relative engagement by at least one spring, slide along a common contact surface. The spring is arranged in such a way that its biasing force always acts at an angle to the direction of oscillation.
