Summary: | Polycyanurate foam comprises 2,4,6-trimethoxy-[1,3,5]triazine and either terminal amino groups and/or at least one structural element of (4,6-dimethoxy-[1,3,5]triazin-2-yl)-methyl-amine, 6-methoxy-N,N'-dimethyl-[1,3,5]triazine-2,4-diamine or N,N',N''-trimethyl-[1,3,5]triazine-2,4,6-triamine, where the foam exhibits closed pores, which contain carbon dioxide. An independent claim is included for preparing the polycyanurate foam, comprising (a) providing a base compound containing at least a polymerizable organic cyanate, (b) providing a substance that delivers water or alcohol in physical or chemical manner, (c) mixing the above two components, (d) releasing water or alcohol from water and/or alcohol releasing substance and (e) polymerizing at least an organically polymerizable cyanate. |
