It is an object to make out a color conversion table in which, when a CMYK combination is determined, a K quantity saving process is carried out, so that it hardly causes a color difference without occurrence of a tone jump. An image processing method makes out a color conversion table for converting a plurality of input colors to output ones. The image processing method is characterized in the following processes. A signal value of one color out of input and output characteristic data is variable. Signal values of other colors extract a plurality of fixed gray scale color values. A model is made out so that, when the extracted color values are input, a difference value between input and output color values is obtained. By using the model, a difference value obtained in the case that the color value is input is added or subtracted for all the output color values to move, and then, the output color values corresponding to the input color values are estimated, so that a color conversion table for converting a plurality of input colors to output colors is made out.
