Summary: | The method involves heating the powder, pasty or molded non-graphitic carbon material (2) by the effect of electromagnetic field, where the electromagnetic field exhibits the frequency in the range of 100 kilohertz to 300 megahertz. The carbon mould is impregnated with a carbonizable or graphitable binder e.g. resin. The carbon to be graphitized is produced from a carbon precursor during the treatment with the electromagnetic field. The graphite is choked with an auxiliary material that is absorbable as the electromagnetic radio frequency field.
