Summary:The present invention relates to a composition comprising a microencapsulated antigen having a native conformational epitope, particularly an antigen derived from the G protein of the human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) encapsulated in poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) copolymers (PLGA) microspheres. The present invention further relates to a method for producing such a composition and the use of these compositions for the preparation of a vaccine or immunogenic composition intended for the prevention or the treatment of RSV infection in mammals.
