METHOD FOR RELIABLY CLOSING A SOLENOID VALVE

An electromagnetically operated flow valve has the actuator coil current controlled in a three level cycle . A first current level [I1] closes the valve and a second current [I3] partially opens the valve. A highest level current [I4] then causes the valve to close with a fast response.
