Summary:The device has a clutch pedal (12) which is operated between a rest position and an applying position in which it holds open the clutch. An actuator (14) is provided and which is controlled by a signal from a driver (16) to open the clutch (10). The clutch in the open position is deactivated by a closing command. The actuator works indirectly on the clutch pedal. The actuator is connected on a pull-wire (30) with the clutch pedal (12).
