Summary:A sealing structure in which sealing is made by a seal ring (3) installed in a dovetail groove (12) where only an inner surface (12a) on one side of the groove (12) is an inclined surface. In the sealing structure, the seal ring (3) is less likely to come out of the dovetail groove (12), resistance of insertion of the seal ring (3) into the dovetail (12) is small, and particles are less likely to occur in the structure. The seal ring (3) is formed of a rubber-like elastic material and is installed in the dovetail groove (12) where the first inner surface (12a) on one side of the groove is inclined falling to the inside of the groove. The seal ring (3) has, at an insertion section (31) to be inserted into the dovetail groove (12), a side projection surface (31a) coming into intimate contact with the first inner surface (12a), a bottom surface (31b) capable of coming into intimate contact with a groove bottom (12c) and having a width (w 3 ) less than a groove width (w 1 ) between groove shoulders (12d, 12e), and a side, upward facing inclined surface (31c) capable of coming into intimate contact with a second inner surface (12b) opposite the first inner surface (12a) and at which the bottom surface (31b) side of the side, upward facing inclined surface (31c) is inclined in a projecting manner.
