Summary: | The nozzle (32) has an annular secondary cowl (40) with a stationary portion (48) and a movable portion (50) extending the stationary portion longitudinally. The secondary cowl moves longitudinally upstream and downstream relative to the stationary portion and relative to an annular primary cowl (36) to vary an exhaust section and a throat section of the nozzle, where the stationary portion presents a set of repeated patterns. An outside surface of the moving portion has a set of indentations of shapes complementary to the patterns of the stationary portion. |
