Summary: | A precision hotmelt plastics extrusion assembly has an inner chamber packed with raw polymer, a heating element, and a discharge plunger (3) to a nozzle (4). The inner chamber is an intermediate space between an outer cylinder (1) and a cylindrical inner rod (2). The outer and inner cylinders (2) are coaxial. Molten plastic is expelled by a piston (3) whose diameter forms a seal against the inner volume. The outlet nozzle is conical and matched by the profile of the cylindrical inner rod, which has a roughened surface (5) to promote mixing. The discharge piston has a conical profile. |
