The invention relates to a display device for a speed regulator with distance control function and stop & go function. Said display device comprises a first display element (54, 56) for displaying the operational state of the speed regulator and a second display element (58) for displaying detection of a target object for distance control. The invention is characterized in that the device is adapted to display different states of standstill of the speed regulator by different state combinations of the first and second display elements (56, 56; 58).
