Summary: | In an apparatus for frequency domain optical coherence tomography an optical frequency comb generator (113) is provided in the combined light beam (250) formed from a reference light beam (220) and an object light beam (240). The optical frequency bomb generator transforms the spectrum of the combined light beam (250) into a quasi-discrete spectrum. A spectral analyser (170) disperses the quasi-discrete spectrum on a multi-element detection device (174) such that each detection element (173) registers at most one of the quasi-discrete spectral components. |
