Summary:The attachment comprises of a female mold (25) joined to an artificial denture, and a male mold (10) joined to a natural tooth or implant. The male mold has an approximal part (11) that has longitudinal grooves (20) or longitudinal ribs that couple with the corresponding longitudinal ribs (30) or longitudinal grooves provided in the female mold, forming a positive connection. The approximal part also has an occlusally facing bearing surface on which the female mold rests with a supporting surface. An independent claim is included for the production method of the extracoronal attachment.
