Summary:An internal combustion engine provided with a double system of fuel injection capable of maintaining fuel in a DI delivery pipe in a steady-state condition. The engine 11 includes: a direct injection injector 15 and a port fuel injection injector 16; a control unit 35 for changing an fuel injection distribution ratio of fuels injected from these injectors 15, 16; a delivery pipe 23 connected to the direct injection injector 15 so as to supply the fuel to the direct injection injector 15; a fuel pressure sensor 36 and a fuel temperature sensor 37 for detecting a fuel pressure and a fuel temperature in the delivery pipe 23; and a fuel regulating unit 43, 44 for regulating the fuel pressure and fuel temperature in the delivery pipe 23. At a time when the fuel injection distribution ratio of the port fuel injection injector 16 is higher than that of the direct injection injector 15 and at least one of the fuel pressure value and fuel temperature value exceeds over an aimed value, the control unit controls the fuel regulating unit 43,44.
