Independent claims are included for (1) a method for the production of (I) by (1) reacting silicate(s) with acid and then (2) filtering and washing, (3) drying and (4) tempering the resulting silica (2) hydrophilic precipitated silica (I) obtained by this method (3) sealing materials containing (I) . Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Fällungskieselsäuren, die eine besonders niedrige Anfangsfeuchte bei gleichzeitig geringer Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme über die Zeit, eine niedrige Stampfdichte und eine niedrige Silanolgruppendichte aufweisen, ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung und deren Verwendung als Verstärker und Verdicker für Dichtungsmassen.
