Summary:The present invention is a motor control device for controlling current command values in relation to a permanent magnet reluctance motor which generates torque corresponding to the combined value of the torque resulting from the permanent magnet and the reluctance torque through field-weakening control in such a manner that the motor terminal voltage does not exceed the maximum inverter output voltage. In particular it controls the angle of the current relative to the motor rotor which is required for the purpose of field-weakening control, and ensures that this is stable and effective whatever torque is output.
