Summary:The method involves providing the communication of a master station (10) with multiple slave stations (20, 22, 24, 26). The slave stations are communicated with each other for providing a transverse communication. The transverse communication is effected by a data telegram that is generated in the context of communication cycles. A transverse communication data is transmitted with communication data between the master station and the slave stations in a common data telegram. An independent claim is also included for a network with a master station and two slave stations. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Netzwerkes mit einer Hauptstation und wenigstens zwei Nebenstationen, wobei die Hauptstation mit den wenigstens zwei Nebenstationen kommuniziert, und die wenigstens zwei Nebenstationen untereinander zur Bereitstellung einer Querkommunikation kommunizieren, wobei die Querkommunikation mittels Telegrammen, die im Rahmen von Kommunikationszyklen generiert werden, erfolgt.
