Summary: | An improved computer-implemented method and program for guiding a refinisher user through adjustment(s) of a candidate refinishing paint color (26B) formed from a combination of a predetermined number of tints T1 through Tn toward a predetermined target paint color (26A) includes the steps of displaying a rendering of a predetermined target paint color and an initial candidate refinishing paint color in respective first and second fields of a video monitor. The predetermined target paint color corresponds to a predetermined target color point in a multidimensional color space. Each tint is also displayed in a respective field of the video monitor. In response to the selection of one of the tints, vector analysis (10) is used to calculate an updated candidate color point in the multidimensional color space. |
