Summary: | Cosmetic or dermatological topical composition (A) contains (i) at least one oligopeptide (I) that contains at least one N-2-24C acyl residue and/or is esterified and (ii) at least one apple extract (B), particularly an apple pip or apple fruit extract, in a suitable carrier. ACTIVITY : Dermatological. 42 Subjects (women of 40-70 years) were treated twice daily over 4 weeks with 2 mg cream/cm 2> of skin around the eyes, and before and after the treatment, skin profile was determined by the FOITS (Fast Optical in vivo Topometry of Human Skin) method. For subjects receiving a placebo, reduction in roughness was 5.3% and in mean roughness depth (after DIN 4768) 5.4%. For subjects who used a composition containing 2% Matrixyl 3000 (mixture of glycerol, water, butylene glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate-20, palmitoyl pentapeptide-3); 1.5% Ederline L (mixture of hexyldecanol and apple fruit extract) and 3% Natrulon RC (mixture of L-carnitine, water and polyglycerol-10) the corresponding improvements were 9.3% and 7.8%.
