Resistance estimation of an AC electrical motor

A method for estimating stator resistance of an AC electrical machine, where an error quantity (µ) is defined as a difference between a first rotor flux amplitude estimate and a second rotor flux amplitude estimate (µ = È Rc -È Rd ), a voltage correction term ( u corr ) is defined as a product of th...

Summary:A method for estimating stator resistance of an AC electrical machine, where an error quantity (µ) is defined as a difference between a first rotor flux amplitude estimate and a second rotor flux amplitude estimate (µ = È Rc -È Rd ), a voltage correction term ( u corr ) is defined as a product of the error quantity (µ) and a tuning gain vector ( K c ) having an amplitude ( k c ) and a direction (³), the voltage correction term ( u corr ) is added to a voltage model of the AC electrical machine to stabilize a stator flux estimate (È s ), a first resistance adaptation error term ( P err ) and a second resistance adaptation error term ( Q err ) are defined and a stator resistance estimate ( R s ) is determined by using the first resistance adaptation error term ( P err ) or by using the second resistance adaptation error term ( Q err ).
