Summary: | A rotating anode (10), especially for an X-ray tube comprises a rotation axis (16) having a surrounding rotationally symmetric carbon fiber cooling body (14) having fibers extending parallel to the axis and a burning ring (12) across the axis. The cooling body is produced from a tailored-fiber-placement (TFP) perform and the body is a one-piece hollow cylinder of thermal conductivity of at least 250 W/m.K with the fibers being bound into a carbon-containing matrix whose graphitic crystallites are directed along the fibers. |
