Summary:An image-shake correction apparatus is provided that is applied to the lens unit used in a virtual system; defects in an external apparatus (16) can be prevented, by providing a device that outputs, from the image-shake correction apparatus to the external apparatus (16), information on the amount of image displacement for canceling an image shake due to a vibration and by implementing image-shake correction. In a lens unit (12) in which the image-shake correction apparatus is integrated, a CPU (34) computes the position, of the correction lens (30), that is appropriate for canceling an image shake caused by a vibration detected by a gyroscopic sensor (36), and then the correction lens (30) is moved to the computed position so as to correct the image shake. The present position of the correction lens (30) is detected by a position sensor (40); and the information on the present position is supplied to a computer (16) for a virtual system.
