Summary:The mold, comprising a metal body (12) with a passage (18) for the poured metal extending from an inlet face (14) to an outlet face (16), and a distribution chamber (30) for a cooling fluid linked to the ends of cooling channels (26), has the channels extending to just under the inlet face. The distribution chamber is set back from the inlet face and the adjacent ends of the cooling channels, which are connected to the chamber by intermediate oblique channels (32). The body of the mold is in the form of a one-piece tubular element (33) which is pierced with the main and intermediate cooling channels.
